JUMP - Start up youth! 

 

JUMP is a non profit organization which provides high quality trainings in different fields supported by a team of experts in non formal education, coaching, mentoring, European Project Management, furthermore, counselors and lecturers.

 

JUMP was born in 2012 and is a new reality from the South of Italy, in few years had a great development and organized several activities financed by the previous Youth in Action Programme, the projects: R.Eco.R.D. and S.P.O.T which aimed at creating a bridge and a strong cooperation between the third sector and schools through the empowerment of students and young people. In 2013 the organization was promoter of the Festival dedicated to Europe titled Euro.Soul: 5 days of cultural events, exhibitions, performances, round tables and concerts. The Festival involved schools, institutions and several civil society and volunteering associations.

According to the new aims of the 2020 Strategy and answering to a specific need of the Southern part of Italy, JUMP started to change from an organization working in the field of schools and students to an organization for local development and local empowerment of youth and youth energies. JUMP means "to jump" and express the "playing up" of resources and creative thinking into action. The subtitle "Start up youth" was born to empower the youth and innovative part of the sleepy society which is Italy nowadays and Italy in the International context.

JUMP in 2015 started a new process in the field of:

- entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship cultural development;

- access to finance and to European funds through specific training courses on European Project Management and Project design;

- internationalization of local business and development of creativity and spirit of initiative among youth, young entrepreneurs, school directors, teachers and also adult people but with a "young spirit";

- raising awareness on European topics organizing public events for citizens and stakeholders.

 

Since January 2015 JUMP is one of the founder of the C.T.E. the Centre for European Development which is still a start up team of experts in European project management aiming at the creation of a Cluster Network of Pan european partners working for EU enlargement and cooperation among macro regions of the world. C.T.E. also states for "Closer To Europe" which aims at bringing citizens, stakeholders, institutions closer to Europe in all the fields of social life, economy, education and environment.

 

JUMP is now a competent team of experts able to run international projects, to develop training pathways, bring innovation and transfer innovation to have a local and global impact. JUMP works also to mainstream results and foster a dynamic dialogue with decision makers in order to change policies or take part to public debates at political level.

 

Main activities are:

- teachers trainings on leadership and stress management; use of ICT and social media; how to make your communication effective and with an high impact; group management in classroom, conflict resolution and situation at risk; mentoring with social disadvantaged young adults and school drop out; drop out prevention, European project management and access to European funds; entrepreneurship education and European citizenship education.

- entrepreneurs meetings and trainings on entrepreneurship and start up, access to finance and European funds, empowering companies through creativity and innovation, internationalization and transfer of innovation in business

- support for public institutions for local development and internationalization of the public administration

- development of European policies through European projects involving transectorial actors from civil society and public institutions
