STEAM in the classroom

In a world that’s becoming increasingly complex, success is driven not only by what you know but by what you can do with what you know.

Steam is a combination of two or more of the following within a learning experience: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.

Steam also teaches soft skills such as:

Creativity, Solving tough problems, Critical thinking, Gathering & Evaluating evidence, Making sense of information, Data analysis, and Communication.

Scientists, Technology developers, engineers and Mathematicians need to be creative in order to innovate. Artists also need to observe, hypothesize and experiment- which in many ways is similar to a Scientific process.

Steam integration shows learners that whatever career they decide to follow, they will probably be working across disciplines.
