During this pandemic time, the digitalization process in the didactical field is speeding up. Education has been taking place more and more behind a screen. Teachers are in the middle of this innovative process and they need some digital skills and to get inspiration for their new digital lessons to optimally reach their pupils. They also simply need not to feel alone during this big transformation.
One of the last projects written by JUMP and approved in Luxembourg is called “Education Out of the Box”.
The project team will deeply research on distance learning and digital teaching and aims to create a European digital platform where learning methods, tools and practices will be available especially for disadvantaged pre-school and primary school teachers, who have low linguistic and digital skills.
Through this platform teachers will be able to teach, interact with other colleagues, upload their innovative lessons, share stories about their experiences, organize online meetings and get high quality training.
Teachers in general without distinctions have free access to all tools created and count with the assistance, the one to one mentoring and the online tutoring of the project team, which is constituted by experts coming from 6 European countries and working inside schools, as professional teachers or educators.
There will also be an Out of the Box - Wiki Training Kit of Manuals, a specific content inside the platform which collects all the training materials.
Playing NGO (from Athens, Greece) and Jump (from Soverato, Italy) in their role as partners, will provide to teachers their expertise in Non Formal Education and Outdoor Education, to help children to transfer into practice what they learned at school.
Thanks to local level trainings, dissemination events, mobilities and dissemination activity in general the aim is to involve a first target of 280 teachers (40 per partner).
Now the journey can start!
