Developing Emotional Intelligence in teachers and students

The way we respond to challenges and how we express our feelings is not just instinctive, just like the way we interact with those around us.

The key skills we use when responding to others can make an enormous impact not only on our lives but also on the lives of others. EI is the ability to understand and manage our feeling and as well as the ability to identify and understand other people’s emotions. Having a high level of EI allows you to be more empathetic towards other people and communicate effectively at the same time. In this ever changing world, full of unexpected events, being emotionally intelligent enables us to deal with these events in a stress- free manner. Situations like stress, conflict, change and obstacles can at times make us forget to be kind, and stay in touch with our emotions.
